Meet Penny
Penny Productions is a female-led, full-service creative production company founded in 2026 by Kaya Stewart and Ruby Bullen in Los Angeles, California. Working across music, film, photography, live experiences, and artist campaigns, Penny brings every stage of a project under one roof — from initial concept and pre-production through execution and post-production.
Built from a shared frustration with the traditional production landscape, Kaya and Ruby came together after meeting on music video sets and recognizing the potential to build something more collaborative, connected, and entirely their own. With backgrounds spanning music, film, television, and editorial, the two bring complementary perspectives to every project, pairing creative instinct with thoughtful, hands-on production.
Penny is built on an intentionally female-led approach, prioritizing women behind the scenes and fostering direct relationships between artists and the people bringing their ideas to life. The result is a more personal, cohesive process, with creativity and communication at the center from start to finish.
From music videos and album rollouts to narrative film, documentaries, photography, and experiential projects, Penny Productions is building a home for ideas that move fluidly across mediums — an independent creative house designed to take a vision from its earliest stages through its final frame.
Meet Ruby
Ruby Bullen — Co-Founder
Originally from Australia and now based in Los Angeles, Ruby Bullen is a USC Film School graduate whose experience spans film, marketing, and television. With a background in both creative development and production, she has worked as a senior producer on a live television show and served as executive producer across multiple projects. Ruby brings a detail-oriented, big-picture approach to production, balancing creative ambition with the logistical expertise required to bring complex ideas to life. At Penny, she helps bridge the gap between a project's initial vision and its final execution.
Meet kaya
Kaya Stewart — Co-Founder
Born in London and now based in Los Angeles, Kaya Stewart has been immersed in music from an early age, pursuing her career professionally since 13 and signing with Warner Records at 15. She is currently a member of the band Kiss Bang and has developed a creative background spanning music videos, photography, and artist imagery. Her time working with MARVIN, the punk-inspired magazine founded by the creators of Nylon and Ray Gun, further shaped her perspective on the intersection of music, fashion, and visual culture. At Penny, Kaya brings an artist's perspective to production, with an instinct for visual identity and the worlds surrounding an artist.
